Artist Bio

Matthew was born in New York, NY, and moved to Darien, CT in 2012. He started experimenting with art outside of the classroom in 2018 while playfully editing smart phone photos. From that point on he started taking photo and drawing classes in and out of school. He has won 3 different awards from the Pic Darien Smartphone Photo Contest in 2018 and 2019. His work has been featured throughout Darien, CT at UCBC bakery, Darien Town Hall, and the Darien High School end of year showcase. Matthew now attends the University of Denver, working towards his BA in Game Development and Emergent Digital Practices. During this period, he also took a drawing class during his semester abroad in Florence, Italy. Throughout his time at the University of Denver, he has learned different aspects of computer science, ludology, and digital art, to improve his work in Game Development.
