Prototype 2
I liked a lot of the coding and mechanical work I did with my first prototype, but I was not as happy with the 3D models. For this prototype, I decided to move away from Blender, and only use Godot for making my models. I could not get the Blender projects to transfer over correctly, so I made the scene in Godot. This was a lot easier than I thought. They have a lot of primitive shapes, and I am able to use boolean union and subtraction to create what I needed to. I am much happier with this model. After that, I moved on to the lighting and the inside portions of the project. I wanted it to appear like a Light and Space art installation. I am being much more intentional with the different parts of these scene while using a lot of inspiration. I picked a few pieces from James Turell and Doug Wheeler to use for this. I then transferred the code from the previous prototype into this project. On the surface it looks like I made the same amount of progress as tueday, but I intend for this version to look a lot more like the projects final form.
Broad view of the project
Code almost identical to the last prototype. In this version you can walk around.
